In maths we have been looking for patterns in numbers and in English we learnt a poem about travelling in a railway carriage . World Wind and Green Day

We celebrated World Wind Day on Thursday by making pinwheels, number fact kites, blow painting and using construction kits to make wind turbines and windmills. We had a fun session! We learnt that wind farms are built where it is hilly and they are used to make electricity. We also found out birds have different shaped wings or flying. A  vulture has a broad wing to help it hover in the air and a swallow has narrow wings to help it fly fast through the air.

In English we recited a poem by AA Milne about the wind and we hope to share this with you in our assembly in two weeks time. We used action to help us remember the poem.

In PSHE we have been thinking about caring for the environment.
Today is Green Day and we have been recycling clothes into different items for a fashion show next week.
Our Learning Owl is Oliver who has been trying so hard with his learning. Well done, have fun with Snowy.
